Local organizers and the IOC are hoping to push back against recent media reports claiming the Olympics will be canceled, as Tokyo and much of Japan are still under a COVID-19 state of emergency. The release of the plan is set to take place at IOC headquarters in Switzerland on February 4. Tokyo organizers are to present the plan the following day.
