But French bulldogs are now the Labs’ closest competition, after jumping from fourth place to second last year. Famous Frenchie owners include business leader Martha Stewart, music star Lady Gaga and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Their influence may have helped grow the breed’s popularity.
